Amazing Bloggers Unite

Please read this amazing story... A mom named Stephanie lives out in Arizona with her husband and four children under 6. She has an amazing blog, Nie Nie Dialogues, which shows all of the love she has for her family as well as the joy they share! Just a couple of weeks ago she hosted an amazing party to celebrate her two daughters first day at school. Needless to say this wonderful woman and her husband were in a terrible airplane accident just four days after that party. The pilot of the … [Read more...]

Foodie Fridays: Georgian Cheese Bread

Anything with bread and cheese sounds delicious to me, and I'm sure many readers out there would agree with me. Although Georgian Cheese Bread is used more as a side dish and served plain in the country of Georgia, I suppose one could tweak with the recipe a bit. You could add some garlic or herbs, and serve it with a marinara or other type of dipping sauce. Ingredients 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast (a 1/4-oz package) 7 tablespoons warm water (105-115°F) 1 2/3 cups unbleached all-purpose … [Read more...]

Handbag Heaven

My oh my - when this beauty arrived in my in-box via piperlime.com, I swooned. The luscious distressed leather! The bold hardware! The very practical shade of brown! A size perfect for stashing all my in-flight needs! I can just see Gisele departing her jet with Kale's "Chelsea III" tote slung over one shoulder, Tom Brady's arm around the other. She'd wear it with skinny jeans and ballet flats, and a crisp white shirt. In fact, I think that owning this bag would make me feel like Gisele if I … [Read more...]

Flying the unfriendly skies: Stingy Airlines

With more airlines introducing fees like JetBlue's buy-you-own-pillow, US Air's buy-you-own-soda, and endless excess baggage and change fees, it's tough to compare true flight costs.  While a listing on Orbitz for flights going from BOS to LAX may all be in a similar price range, each airline may have extra fees not listed that will impact the overall cost of your flight. Time.com recently researched fees at the major airlines to see who's the stingiest.  Check out its list here to help you … [Read more...]

Site Spotlight: Chic Shopping Paris

Parisian women ooze that certain “je ne sais quoi” when it comes to style. So it’s a no-brainer that shopping and Paris go together. Ms. JourneyChic recently stumbled across this fabulous site: chicshoppingparis.com.  Founder Rebecca Magniant followed her dream (and mine - sigh!) of moving to Paris. There, she combined her love of the city with her love for shopping and started a business called Chic Shopping Paris. On the site, you can find a blog with tips and tricks on shopping in … [Read more...]

It’s In The Bag

As an admitted purse-a-holic I had a hard time adjusting to the idea of a baby bag but they are essential to traveling with little ones. Fortunately in today's stylish world there are many choices! Would you ever guess that this is a diaper bag?!?!? When Chickadee was first born I had two bags, both from Land's End. I picked them because of their practicalness. BORING!!! I still use the Do-It-All for travel but now I have about 6 others to choose from! When choosing a bag the first … [Read more...]

Foodie Fridays: Kung Pao Chicken

I love Chinese food (who doesn't?!) and since I’ve discovered Nancy Chang Restaurant in Worcester, MA, I’ve become a bit of a Chinese food “snob." Nancy Chang offers many low fat, healthy choices, there is no MSG in their food, and a Gluten free menu is now available. I’m a creature of habit and I usually get one of these three tasty meals: Chicken with Broccoli, Steamed Vegetable Dumplings, or Chicken Pad Thai. Recently, I found a recipe for Kung Pao Chicken which I’ve been meaning … [Read more...]
