Foodie Fridays: Halloween Drinks & Ideas
I’m in Johannesburg now, my last stop on a two-week, five country business trip, and am sadly missing out on Halloween. I had hoped to share some information on how South Africans celebrate the holiday, but it turns out they really don’t celebrate it at all. I’ve just walked through a popular shopping mall here, and while the Christmas decorations are starting to come out, there was nothing to even hint at Halloween.
So instead, let’s look to the good ole USA for Halloween ideas. Hostess With The Mostess is one of my favorite blogs, not only for its great party-planning ideas but for the blog’s actual design. Throughout October, creator Jenn Sbranti and her guest writers have featured lots of fun recipes for drinks and food in the Halloween spirit. Check out the vampire martini:
