Hello there.
It’s been ages and ages since I wrote anything for this blog. So long, in fact, that I nearly forgot my WordPress password. I didn’t intend to stop writing, it just sort of…happened. I put too much pressure on myself to make the blog into something bigger than I wanted to handle (or could handle) with everything else going on in life. So I stopped. Shame on me.
I’m taking JourneyChic on a new, rather self-indulgent journey. My interests aren’t limited to travel, and I’ve found myself reading more and more about decorating, gardening, cooking, organizing, fashion and celeb gossip and would like to write about those topics. Travel hasn’t been forgotten. In fact, I just got back from a wonderful vacation in France and have also visited Scotland and Munich this year so there will be posts coming up related to those trips.
My dear friends WanderingAlbatross and LaVoyageuse may pop in from time to time, but for the most part it will be me sharing my musings, ideas, tips and questions with you.
To mark this change, I updated the design and content of the “About” page, added a page for “La Maison” (JourneyChic’s digs) and for ”Le Chat” (my highly amusing kitty), and updated links here and there. There will be more to come, I’m sure.
Life is a journey, and I want mine to be chic. And fun. And as low-pressure as a type-A personality can make it. I hope you’ll come with me.
