Alrighty, here are ten fun facts about me:
- I played the violin from 3rd grade through 9th grade.
- I’m a mere 5’1″ tall and frequently wear heels.
- Growing up, I didn’t have cable TV and therefore haven’t seen loads of 80′s movies. My college roommate (Erin of Elements of Style) was so appalled that I’d never seen “Sixteen Candles” that she bought it for me for my 19th birthday.
- If I lived by myself, I would never cook a proper meal.
- I love Turkish food, and am really bummed that I’m not going to Istanbul again this fall (I typically go in October for work).
- This blog was originally created as a prototype for a travel website, but as my interests evolved, so did the blog.
- The first CDs I ever owned were by Michael Bolton and Jesus Jones. Weird combination, I know. I can safely say that I no longer own either of them.
- The first concert I ever went to was NKOTB.
- The Mr. and I have been married since May 08, but have been together over six years.
- In college, I was the associate news editor of the school’s newspaper.

Oh my goodnight! Thank you so much for nominating me!!! You are SO sweet. I’m honored to be amongst that list! I had no idea you were Erin’s college roomie – I bet you two had fun!
Now time for me to think of things about myself…
I thought I was the only one without cable growing up! Quick story. Whenever we would ask my mom for money for something she would tell us to go out and earn it, we shouldn’t just be laying around living the life of Riley. My answer was always, “I’m pretty sure whoever Riley is, he has cable.”

NKOTB!!!!!!!! I went in 4th grade. I think prior to that I had only been to a Willie Nelson concert with my parents. Hint Hint that I’m southern.
