In 5th grade, I was obsessed with the “Sweet Valley Twins” series. Jessica Wakefield was a member of the Unicorn Club, made up of the cool girls who wore something purple each day. My friends and I made an attempt at forming our own Unicorn Club. I think we only got through one official meeting, but for the rest of the school year I wore a whole lot of purple.
