Whiskey is fat. This is not new information. Just look at his chubby self:

Now his chubbiness is official: Over 17 lbs! On the vet’s “cat fatness” scale of 1-9, Whiskey is an eight and needs some diet and exercise, which will be difficult since these are his favorite things to do:
sleeping on my legs while I watch television...
and sitting in the middle of his toys instead of playing with them
He needs his teeth cleaned, too, to the tune of $460-$860 (!).
All things considered, he was pretty good at his vet visit last night, apart from peeing all over himself in his crate (poor boy). No scratching, hissing, or trying to escape. Just shaking, and fur flying everywhere. He was petrified, and probably thought we were bringing him back to the shelter. After sulking under a spare bed for a while after we got home, he was back to his usual self, begging for food and attacking the ottoman.
Such are the joys of pet ownership!

Oh 17 is skiny, my parents cat is a hefty 23 lbs, hes larger than most dogs I know
Whiskey is a lot like our cat Subito, who is fat (but only 13lbs…but she’s rather small) and has horrendous teeth (we’ve had two removed so far and several VERY expensive cleanings to boot!). Ah well, gotta love them, right?

My little kitty had to have her teeth cleaned also and I coulnd’t believe the price! It was like, give me some cat floss and oven mits and I will do this myself! Whiskey is adorable! Love the picture of him just laying on his toys
