The summer is the perfect time for ending my nine months of sobriety, and the lovely Lindsay from Everything LEB is here today to share one of her favorite summer cocktails!
***
Hello JourneyChic readers! I’m so happy to be over here today while Laura enjoys a little blog break as she tends to her most wonderful DIY project to date, Junior!
Summertime means sticky heat, painted toenails, warm nights and most importantly watermelon! Juicy watermelon is the perfect summer staple and almost always makes an appearance at every backyard BBQ.
While a slice of watermelon is a lovely dessert, my favorite way to enjoy some this summer is in my cocktails. Habanero Watermelon Margaritas to be exact, and I can’t seem to get enough of them. I posted about this last summer but thought I would share again since they seem to be popular with everyone I serve them to.
These delicious summer drinks only require a few ingredients.
We used the recipe from here and substituted the plain tequila for the habanero infused tequila.
Infused Tequila
- 1 750 ml bottle of white (clear) tequila
- 2-5 whole habanero peppers, depending on how hot you want it leave them in anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. (The fiancé and I like things on the spicy side so we left the whole peppers in for about 2 weeks.)
- Just wash the peppers and place them in a closed container along with the tequila and wait.
The finished drinks are amazing and delish, and since Laura is no longer pregnant with Junior I figured I’d share a cocktail that she can enjoy now too!
Thanks so much Laura for asking me to participate in this series, it was so fun to bring back this recipe and make these yummy cocktails again!
Happy Summer Everyone!

YUMMY! I love tequila…nice post Linds…love the pics!
yummy, these look so delish right now I think I will have to make them this weekend…again….for the 5th or 6th time this month
I remember craving a strawberry margarita the entire time I was pregnant with my son. There are a lot of great things about pregnancy, but it’s so nice not to be pregnant anymore, isn’t it?
Cheers to you Laura, now drink up!
