Are you a stripe girl? I’m still figuring out whether or not I am. Stripes are great in kids’ rooms and I love some of the striped walls I’ve seen around the blogosphere, but I’m not 100% sold. Perhaps my meh attitude towards stripes is due to hearing my late grandmother’s voice in my ear whispering “Wide stripes will make you look fat!” She wasn’t entirely wrong, which is why wide horizontal stripes on walls can make a small room seem wider.
I spotted the cheerful bedding below, from Urban Outfitters, and while I wouldn’t put it on my master bedroom, it has a cheerful way about it. Wondering if the bold stripes could be softened up a bit, I came up with this bedroom:
If you’re a stripe girl, check out these other well-priced finds. That West Elm shower curtain is my favorite.
Are you a fan of wide stripes in your home decor?

Personally I like stripes but I don’t really use them that much. I do have a really cool multi-colored striped shower curtain, turquoise, lime, white, and bright blue. On a cold wet spring day it makes me think of summer! And I don’t have any place for it but I love that striped table you posted.
I always think I like stripes until I get them home…especially wide ones, and especially on clothes! Stripes in small doses work for me when it comes to home decor, but I do love some of those items you found!
I am definitely a stripe girl. The wide stripes are perfect, IMO, for kids’ bedrooms or play spaces.
I am loving that first board so much! What fun color combos. That lime green side table is so cute, I’ve never seen that at Home Decorators, it must be new?
