Jen Ramos, as most of you know, is the creative mind behind Made By Girl (and those iconic “I Love You, Blogs And Coffee” and “LOVE” prints) and recently launched a new site for her original paintings called Cocoa & Hearts. And I <heart> her canvases! The color schemes are girly, fun, and modern. If you read JourneyChic regularly you’ve probably noticed that I have a weakness for blues, so “Dog & Shadow” was a natural pick for this week’s installment of Chic Inspiration.

When I spotted a turquoise dress at LOFT, I knew it would be the perfect starting point for the inspired look. The ruffle detailing at the neckline reminded me of the deep swirls that are the focal point in Jen’s painting.

The earrings from Stella & Dot have tiny turquoise stones around the larger green ones – so pretty. And I’m all about wedge heels – comfort and height? Yes, please. The heel’s color ties in with the tan straps on the navy clutch, which brings just the tiny pop of dark blue that Jen added to her painting. I’d wear this ensemble to a daytime wedding or bridal shower.
