This week’s outfit inspiration, courtesy of Pinterest, brings me back to my college days. Way back in 1999 I spent a semester studying in Brighton, a quirky city on England’s southern coast. While taking the train to visit friends studying in London, the little houses that dotted the countryside on the other side the speeding train’s window tugged at my heart.
Can’t you just see yourself curled up with a book (or Nook), looking out the second-story window of this cottage at your pretty rose garden? I have no idea if this cottage is in England. Maybe it’s in New Jersey, but let’s pretend.

I had a pair wide-leg jeans from Gap back in the 90′s and I now regret getting rid of them! Will you wear them this fall? How about wedge booties? I think I need a pair of those to add to my boot collection.

If only such clothes could actually stay clean on a country farm. I love the picture of the cottage. I’m definitely moving to the English countryside (NOT New Jersey) when I retire. Of course, we would all be too busy making constant repairs to the cottage to actually enjoy a cup of tea…. And yes, I still have my flare jeans (I didn’t realize they went out of style).
