The JourneyChic family has lived in a circa 2004 three-floor townhouse in a semi-suburban area of Boston since September 2008. We’re fortunate to have wonderful neighbors and to be near parks, public transportation and the bustle of the city without actually being in the city. The previous owners left us with all of the builder basics: greige walls, cheap lighting, and faucets befitting a public bathroom. When we moved in I was so eager to fill the empty space that I didn’t think enough about the big picture, which resulted in mistakes and poor purchases. Decorating is a learning process after all! Since this is not our forever home, I’m having fun making changes here and there and stocking my inspiration files with ideas for our next home.
